Enjoy the power and convenience of having your own personal Wi-Fi network wherever you go with the Nighthawk M1 MR1100 AC1000 Wireless Dual-Band Gigabit Mobile Router from Netgear. This compact router is an unlocked device that supports the use of any SIM card. While it's optimized to work best on AT&T and T-Mobile networks, it supports 3G/4G LTE Advanced Pro Cat 16 and 4-band carrier aggregation.

Once connected to your wireless carrier via LTE, you can connect up to 20 Wi-Fi devices, such as smartphones, tablets, gaming consoles, and more. The M1 can provide up to 1 Gb/s download and up to 150 Mb/s upload speeds. It's an ideal solution for families and mobile professionals, connecting everyone in hotels, airline terminals, or anywhere an LTE connection can be made.

Offload to Wi-Fi or Ethernet and Save
If you're within range of a trusted Wi-Fi network or can connect to a trusted network via Ethernet, you can offload LTE internet connection of the Nighthawk M1 to either of these outside networks, while still keeping everyone connected. It's an ideal solution for a hotel network, letting you connect the Nighthawk M1 rather than each device individually. By offloading to an outside network, you can also save yourself money and data usage on your mobile plan.
Secure and Private Wi-Fi
When you're on the go, you control who can access your private M1 router. Setup password-protected access, block selected devices, filter certain types of content, and create guest access if needed.
Dual-Band 4x4 MIMO
Combining 4x4 MIMO support with 2.4 GHz (Wi-Fi 4, 802.11n) and 5 GHz (Wi-Fi 5, 802.11ac) bands gives you up to 8 dedicated, uninterrupted, simultaneous data streams (4 on 2.4 GHz and 4 on 5 GHz).
Media Streaming
Bring content for everyone in the family to enjoy with an (optional) microSD card, USB-A flash drive, or external hard drive filled with music, videos, and more. Everyone connected to the Nighthawk M1 can have access to this external storage and stream what they want.
Built-In Display
A built-in 2.4" color display lets you easily keep tabs on your network. It can show you connection status, battery status, network traffic, data used, number of devices connected, and more.
Manage via Mobile App
With the Netgear Mobile app you can manage your Nighthawk M1 network, track data usage and more. The app is available for iOS and Android mobile devices via Apple's App Store and Google Play.

Use this for traveling since I work from home and have to hard wired (Ethernet) to the internet. Took from Tampa to Miami not a single problem while working from the car! Thank you so much!

Reception isn't as good as I would like. I've tried moving it to several different areas of my cabin including outside. I never get more than 2 bars but average is 1 bar. I've called to try to replace with a different netgear but they wouldn't do it. I've had it for 6 months but I'm not there daily so I wasn't able to tell if it worked well till after a few months. But it's better than nothing.

I am an Internet jargon novice. I bought two M1 mobile routers. M1 would get FIVE stars if it showed more than just the number of devices connected. It needs to show the name of the device connected and the IP address of the device connected. I now know how critically important it is to see the name and IP address of each connected device. This may cause me to look for a different router. I really like the performance of the M1 over my former cell provider’s mobile routers. This short fall of no knowing the name and IP of devices on the M1 screen may cause me to look for another device next time. I am a mobile router user, a novice to mobile routers and IP jargon, but I have quickly learned that knowing this much is critical.

The Netgear support and device has been great. I initially had setup issues but called customer support and they walked me through getting the required code entered. Has been fast for doing online coursework where my parents work was slow while visiting.

The Nighthawk M1 has an ethernet port that can be used to be connected to the ATEM Mini to provide a network signal. The quality of the signal will be dependable on the connectivity in the area.

I have an at&t homebase with a sim card. Can I use that card in the Netgear device without changing my plan? I don’t need the phone component of Homebase.

You would have to contact AT&T. The Netgear Nighthawk M1 MR1100 AC1000 Wireless Dual-Band Gigabit Mobile Router BH #NEMR1100 takes a Micro Sim card but it depends on the plan you have. For example, if you have a mobile hotspot line with a grandfathered unlimited data plans, you wouldn't be able to replace or upgrade to a newer device.
