Gigabyte A520I Overview

Get your compact build off on the right foot with the A520I AC AM4 Mini-ITX Motherboard from GIGABYTE. The motherboard is ideal for builders who wish to experience the massive amount of utility of larger boards in a smaller form factor. This mini-ITX board is built on AMD's A520 chipset, giving you access to an AM4 socket for 3rd gen Ryzen-brand processors, two dual-channel DDR4 DIMMs, and a single PCIe 3.0 x16 slot for graphics cards. Additionally, the A520I AC provides four SATAIII ports and one M.2 PCIe connector, giving you enhanced storage capabilities.

The back panel of the A520I AC gives you an array of USB 3.2 Gen 1 and 2.0 Type-A ports for your peripherals. Dual HDMI ports are accompanied by a single DisplayPort output, allowing you to utilize onboard graphics depending on what processor you use. Additionally, you have the option to use the integrated dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity for wireless access, or the RJ-45 port for a hardwired connection.

The A520I AC is built upon the AMD A520 chipset, giving you access to the AM4 socket, ideal for 3rd gen Ryzen brand processors. Experience enhanced plug-and-play performance, allowing you to easily design your build for various capabilities such as gaming and design.
Power Performance
Using Direct 6 phase power design, the A520I AC stabilizes system performance and balances voltage, ensuring the appropriate amount of power is delivered to your components. All-solid capacitors and DrMOS components improve transient response, allowing this board to handle up to 330 amps of current with ease. Solid pin connectors promote durability and conductivity for strong electrical connection. Anti-sulfur design gives resistors an added layer of protection, preventing contaminants from effecting your motherboard and preventing component failure.
Network Connectivity
Experience enhanced wireless transition speed with on-board Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) capabilities. Connect to 2.4 and 5 GHz networks with better strength, suitable for online gaming and streaming media. If you prefer a wired connection, Realtek 8118 Gaming LAN allows you to experience high performance, with a LAN manager that automatically allocates bandwidth to ensure the highest network priority for games or applications. Additionally, you can monitor your network in real-time for an enhanced user experience.
Visual Support
Dual HDMI 2.1 ports available for onboard graphics, depending on which CPU you have equipped. With enhanced transfer rates, you can experience native cinematic 21:9 aspect ratio, full HDR, and HDCP 2.3 support, for an immersive visual experience.
Double Locking Bracket
GIGABYTE's patented double-locking bracket promotes durability for PCIe slots, giving you additional support for graphics and utility cards. Front-side locks are pushed through the slot with secondary soldered locks creating a strong bond, preventing the slot from possible damage.
RGB Fusion 2.0
Illuminate your rig with an abundance of color with RGB Fusion 2.0. Control onboard RGB and external RGB addressable LED light strips and experience more patterns, styles, and colors. Sync your lighting to your games or music, or customize your own with the optional RGB Fusion App which gives you controls right on your smartphone.
Smart Fan 5
Monitor the cooling performance of your build with Smart Fan 5, a free suite dedicated to ensuring your components run properly. Five temperature sensors are located around the board, along with 3 hybrid fan headers, giving you optimal control and cooling. When the optimal temperature is met, the fans automatically stop, promoting fan lifespan.
Q-Flash Plus
Easily flash the BIOS of the A520I AC with Q-Flash Plus technology. Install new BIOS files to a flash drive and press the Q-Flash Plus button to update your motherboard for optimal performance.
GIGABYTE BIOS & Applications
Included with the A520I AC is a suite of applications and BIOS settings aimed to optimize system performance. Adjust BIOS settings with an enhanced user interface, keep drivers updated with App Center, and fine-tune voltages and memory clocks with EasyTune. Monitor your components with System Information Viewer and download any BIOS update from Windows with the @BIOS program.
