This scanner has all the features I need to digitize a lifetime of oversized photo album/scrapbooks. Alas, so far the software doesn't work on my Mac. Awaiting word from the PlusTek developers, but losing hope....

Awesome scanner

I am and artist and photographer. I bought this scanner to create digital images of my artwork. As with most new gadgets I struggled a little at first with the procedure for scanning objects of various dimensions and thicknesses. But a brief sms chat with support they got me on track quickly. It scans quickly and easily. Their software has plenty of adjustments for color, contrast and brightness and other things I’m not familiar with yet. I can get the colors fairly true but never perfect. But that is probably going to happen with anything when there are several pieces of hardware involved, ie scanner, monitor and computer. And only noticeable when compared side by side. If necessary I can usually achieve near perfection with color in Lightroom. Also it’s a little noisy but that’s not a problem for me.
