what is the front diameter size?

77mm is the filter thread on the inside of the lens not the size outside where you would clamp on a matte box if you wanted to

I use MFT cams these days, but I could shift to S35 or full frame in the near future. Wout it make sense to buy a Meike lense that's EF mount and use a adaptor, instead of going MFT mount? Since the lens will be used fully manual I don't really see what I'm losing by adapting a S35 or full frame lense to my MFT cam? Any input? Thanks!
Asked by: Philippe
Yes, if you would like to keep the option open for use with a super 35 or full frame sensor, as well as for use with a micro four thirds, it would be advisable to use full frame EF options, when available. However, not always are the same options available for both mounts. For a Meike lens in the 50mm range there are both EF and micro four thirds options available. Typically there would be no difference when used with a well made adapter such as the Metabones T Smart Adapter for Canon EF to Micro Four Thirds. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1182562-REG/metabones_mb_ef_m43_bt2_canon_ef_to_mft.html

Does the lens barrel extend or retract when focusing?
Asked by: jason
No. The cine lens that are a set size like the Meike 12, 16,25 and 35 don’t change in length That would be a variable lens or also called a zoom lens An example would be a 18mm-35mm lens
