Rokinon 14mm T3.1 Cine DSX Overview

From Manufacturer

Update your cinema lens set with a wide-angle lens with this 14mm T3.1 DSX Ultra Wide-Angle Cine Lens from Rokinon that comes in a Fuji X mount. The DSX continues the line with the same multilayer coating process, industry-standard geared focus and iris rings, and a fast T3.1 aperture, and it adds a 9-blade iris for beautiful, soft bokeh, weather sealing to keep the moisture out, and focal lengths on both sides for added versatility for focus pullers.

This ultra-wide 14mm lens produces 98.4° coverage when used with Super35 sensors and 92.5° with APS-C sensors. Hybrid aspherical lenses render sharply defined images with a minimum of distortion, low chromatic aberrations, extra-low dispersion, and a high refractive index. It features a minimum focus distance of about 11" from the lens to create dramatic close-up shots while being very close to your subject. A built-in petal-shaped lens hood provides flare protection when shooting without a matte box.

As well as delivering the beloved image quality and fast T-stop values of the existing DS series, this high-speed DSX model now has weather sealing, nine aperture blades, and focal lengths that are visible on both sides for more professional use.
The DSX range is highly versatile and available in Canon EF, Sony E, Nikon F, Canon RF, Fuji X, Canon M, and MFT mounts.
Ultra Multi-Coated lenses minimize flare and ghosting, and the lenses are color matched to a standard eliminating the need to acquire an entire set of lenses at the same time.
Lenses in the Rokinon DSX high-speed cine lens series share common focus and iris gear ring positions, which speeds up lens changes as accessories such as follow focus units or iris motors don't have to be repositioned.
Focal lengths and measurements in feet and meters on both sides of the lens.
De-clicked aperture ring for smooth iris pulls.
A minimum focusing distance of 11.02" allows you to get up close to your subject.
A built-in petal-type lens hood provides flare protection without a matte box.

14mm T3.1 DSX Rokinon Purchase for BMPCC6K

Love my new 14mm DSX lens! A great addition to my other 2 Rokinons, 24 & 35mm, nearly completing the set. Little to no chromatic aberration, clean and sharp focus, and plays great with ProRess raw on the Blackmagic cameras. Beautiful and sharp images for a sick value! Rings mount well on my FeiyuTech gimbal and focus puller. Yes, it can hold the camera and lens if you're curious.

Amazing!

Is there any way I can use Tilta Mirage matte box with this lens? The petal hood is built-in it cannot be removed.
Asked by: Gabriel
The Rokinon 14mm T3.1 DSX Ultra Wide-Angle Cine Lens (EF Mount) will not be compatible in any way. I suggest using a mattebox with a sock, like the Camtree Camshade Video Matte Box.

So if using this with the cannon RP there is no need for an adaptor? It mounts directly? Thanks. JB
Asked by: Jim
Yes, The Rokinon 14mm T3.1 DSX lens has a Canon RF mount. The Canon RP camera also has a RF lens mount. You would not need an adapter to work with this lens on the Canon RP.
