Plenty of room for grip head, 2.5mm hex key to tighten screw

There is plenty of space to attach a grip head from a C-stand to this and freely spin the knuckle around to tighten or loosen it. The end of the pin has a wider area to prevent the plate from slipping out. This does mean you will need to loosen your grip heads quite a bit to pop the plate out, but the peace of mind is worth it. The VESA screws included used a 2.5mm allen wrench (hex key), so be sure to have one of those on hand when assembling the plate. Plate feels secure that I could carry the 24 inch monitor by the mounting plate pin with no problems. It could certainly accommodate a larger monitor if you needed, but the limit of the size is what you are comfortable with.

what is the weight capacity when used for a monitor on set? of course on a c stand....

Kupo states that the Kupo VESA Monitor Mounting Plate with 5/8- Baby Pin "...is designed for any monitor that comes with a VESA mounting 75mm x 75mm or 100mm x 100mm." We would recommend a payload of 22kg (48.5 lbs) or less, as comparable Kupo mounts suggest.
