There's so much to like about the B10X, but if you require a little more juice, the Profoto B10X Plus OCF Flash Head is for you. Building on the laurels of the B10 and the easily foreseeable popularity of the B10X, Profoto pushes the envelope still further for photographers and videographers and doubled the B10X's power to 500Ws with very short recycling times of just 0.05 to 2.2 seconds at full power over a 10-stop power range. The flash is also TTL and High-Speed Sync capable, and its LED modeling lamp is powerful (10,000 lux with an OCF Magnum reflector) enough to shoot video with the same camera that you use to shoot stills. In fact, you can vary the color temperature from 3000 to 6500K, while its high CRI of 90-96 is your assurance of accurate color reproduction. The battery will give you 65 minutes run time at full power.

Profoto B10X Plus Overview

By B&H Photo's

There's so much to like about the B10X, but if you require a little more juice, the Profoto B10X Plus OCF Flash Head is for you. Building on the laurels of the B10 and the easily foreseeable popularity of the B10X, Profoto pushes the envelope still further for photographers and videographers and doubled the B10X's power to 500Ws with very short recycling times of just 0.05 to 2.2 seconds at full power over a 10-stop power range. The battery will give you 65 minutes run time at full power.

Another outstanding feature is the multitude of triggering options. The flash has a built-in AirX receiver with a range of 300' with the purchase of a dedicated remote transmitter and 90' using Bluetooth devices like your smartphone.

    Profoto B10X Plus Reviews

This is not the Profoto quality

One of the best on location heads I've head. Fast, mobile, perfect for photo and video shootings, Can be used with a smartphone camera but, ther eis a but on the very first shooting I was using OCF reflectors to avoid overload on the head body. During the shooting body overheated and both of the heads got cracks on the side. after the shooting one of the heads stopped responding to the charger. indicator was not showing charging battery icon. Tested chargers and batteris and found out it was B10Xplus bodies fault. Still waiting for profotos respond So if you are into havy duty work with outdoor shootings, I do not recomend spending on this one. You better get B1x still one of the best on the market!

    Easy to use

This is a great flash. Easy menu, light weight, I put it in my camera bag to do a remote shoot and it fit with ease. Much easier than lugging B1's. I've only used it once with an umbrella, and I got great results and good skin texture. I'm going to buy one more and start selling off my B1's to pay for it.

I never write reviews but these lights have been so helpful to me. Easy, light-weight, work great and always consistently. I just used them as a continuous light source on a shoot yesterday and they worked amazing. Well worth the money.

A lighter version of the B10x

I have the B10 & B1X. The B1X is a beast of a light more full powered flashes, easier to read the lights on the back of the light and has the handle. However I decided to purchase the B10X plus because it's much smaller and way lighter and the amount of full power flashes per battery is not a deal breaker as the batteries are smaller and can fit in the pocket. I really like this light and glad I purchased it.

    Expensive but Incredible

This thing is very expensive like all Profoto products. Arguably overpriced when you can get the same output for a fraction of the price. But the user experience of this light is unbeatable. The interface on the rear screen is fluid and so easy to control. Something that other lights from brands like Godox have a lot to learn from. The built in modeling/video light is a great feature as well. Works great as a key light in a softbox for talking head style videos.

    4th Time is a Charm!

I started with the A1. Then got the B1X. It's GREAT, but it's huge and heavy. Picked up one of these and never even looking at any other product. It's small but powerful! I even picked up 2 more of them! I'm a wedding photographer, and these DEFINITELY light up a room.

Have B1 x 3 heads. Wanted to have 1 more head. Even B10X battery cap is smaller, I dared wanted to have b10X for its compact / light weight size & I'm so glad I did. It's so easy to carry. Nice for an assistant who need to hand-held the head. So compact. Haven't used yet but I also like the modeling light feature.

Whats the main difference between the B10 Plus and B10 Plus X?
    Asked by: Rachel
Those previous answers to your question are not all the way correct. The b10 plus and the b10plus x both have color temp tuning on them. All of the b10 series lights do. The new b10x series has a slightly faster recycle rate, slightly brighter modeling light, slightly improved screen clarity when reading the stops on the back.

What is the color temperature of the strobe?

What is the color temperature of the strobe?
    Asked by: Jonathan
The previous answer is confusing the ability to change the color temp of the continuous light or model lamp temp. Im assuming you are referring to the actual kelvin temp of the strobe when it fires. That is not adjustable in temp but when I white balance correctly using the strobe is seems to fire consistently around 5260 k which is close to daylight balanced. Its very consistent from shot to shot actually.
