Boasting FIPS 197-certified XTS-AES 256-bit hardware encryption, this USB-A flash drive is designed for secure storage. Protect stored files with passwords utilizing 6 to 16 or 10 to 64 characters. Plus, the IronKey Vault Privacy 50 Series also protects against brute force and BadUSB attacks. Admin and User profiles, one-time recovery password, and read-only settings ensure easy deployment.

Utilizing the USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 interface, this drive features read and write speeds up to 250 and 180 MB/s, respectively. Designed for resilient everyday operation, it's even waterproof at depths up to 4'. The IronKey Vault Privacy 50 Series USB 3.2 Gen 1 Flash Drive is compatible with Windows 8.1 and later and macOS 10.14 and later.

Hardware Encryption
Safeguard important data with FIPS 197 certified XTS-AES 256-bit encryption and built-in protections against BadUSB and Brute Force attacks.
Multi-Password Option for Data Recovery
Enable admin, user, and one-time recovery passwords. Admins can reset a user password and create a one-time recovery password to restore the user's access to data. Brute force attack protection locks out a user or one-time recovery passwords upon 10 invalid passwords entered in a row and erases the drive if the admin password is entered incorrectly 10 times in a row.
New Passphrase Mode
Select between Complex or Passphrase password mode. Passphrases can be a numeric PIN, sentences with space characters, list of words, or even lyrics from 10 to 64 characters long.
Dual Read-Only (Write-Protect) Settings
Avoid malware attacks with a forced Read-Only mode set by Admin for User or a session-based Read-Only mode set by Admin or User.
Locally Manage Drives for Small and Medium Businesses
Use admin role to locally manage users and one-time recovery passwords, recover data access on locked drives, and comply with laws and regulations when forensics are required.
Additional Security Features
Reduce failed login attempts and frustration by enabling "eye" button to view password typed. A virtual keyboard function allows you to shield password entry from keyloggers and screenloggers.

USB 3.2 Gen 1 features a maximum throughput of 5 Gb/s and is synonymous with USB 3.1 Gen 1 and USB 3.0.

Setup was fairly easy; although, the manual instructions did not match the actual steps on my Windows 11 computer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this USB, it has great encryption capabilities. It puts you at easy, knowing that your important documents are stored digitally and safely. I love the feature of having multiple passwords that you can assigned with different users. Kingston has always been a reliable brand and this product really showcase the quality that they produce. Highly recommended!
