It will get the job done, and it'll do it well. The designs lack a bit of care in the details, and the quality control is not as high as one might think for this price point: 1) I bought it brand new. It came with glue stains (what they said) on the bottom. They said that's normal and might occasionally happen. No fix provided. 2) The v-mount/gold mount battery plate will sit higher than the device -- not as it's pictured here. 3) They have no intention to integrate other FIZ units, so you will have to change the build when going between this set-up and other set-ups on set. 4) Their r/s cable is 2.5mm LANC. A bit restrictive for the cable options out there for bigger cameras. 5) If you're shooting still life, that red stripe design is quite annoying in terms of controlling your reflections. They suggested I do not take it off. 6) There's no way to mount their Kwik Release Receiver V2 at precise angles on their CineShooter. And it only connects at one point instead of 2 (to prevent any rotation). Their solution is that once you mount the cineshooter, you can then just use the pan to make it face the proper direction. While this isn't a big deal/not a deal breaker, I'm assuming this detail would drive many still life shooters insane.
