Modem and router functions well, the surfboard app is garbage though. I installed it to help set up my network, but the rest of the app is not useful.

Been cost cutting, starting with my inflated cable tv bill. initially, I switched to a basic cable package. Then, i bought this modem to have only internet. Success! Cancelled ALLthe cable except the internet connection, then bought a $10 digital antenna. So, I get full internet service, and, I get the basic channels. Even from Cali!!! Saving $100s and this number will keep increasing as my band aids age...like me.

Before setting up the ARRIS SURFboard G34 AX3000 Dual-Band DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem Router, you should call your Internet Service Provider to program the modem to your account's internet service. After this has been setup, you can connect the modem to the coaxial line from your service provider and the internet connection should be established.
