GVM PR150R Overview

This PR150R LED Spotlight Bi-Color & RGB Studio Video Light Kit with Softbox from GVM is a great choice when you require full features in a lightweight package. The kit features a PR150R LED video light, and a light stand.

The PB150R has a COB LED with a CCT color range from 2700 to 7500K and a CRI rating of 97 to assure accurate color reproduction. It has an RGB mode that offers access to literally millions of colors, hues, and light intensities. The light's Bowens front accessory mount makes it fully compatible with a wide range of lighting modifiers for maximum control of light shaping and diffusion. It also has a function in which a designated master sends signals to additional lights that mimic its settings. Special lighting effects include lightning, cop car, candle, TV, party, disco, bad bulb, and paparazzi.

A Great Light For the Price

I remember the time when a full spectrum RGB mono light with both Daylight and Tungsten modes was easily $1K. This light is amazing for the price. Two problems I see. The deal breaker - Noise levels of the cooling fan. Around 20 dB above room tone based on my measurements. The other problem? The head cable is way too short for a production environment. Using this light on a boom stand which would be 6-7 feet long over the set, requires a power cord that is long from the light head to the power supply. This light head cable is maybe 4 feet long? Making it necessary to mount the power supply box on your light stand over the set. Not idea. I have solved the fan problem. It was awesome for our project budget. It fits all sets, whether for fill light or Key light. The Lantern softbox come in handy. We got the shot we need. we all have smile on our face while having this light in our crew.

In the Box info it states that it comes with the Lantern Softbox and also a Octa Softbox with Grid. Are those the same item?

No, they are not the same. The Octa Softbox With Grid was a misprint under the "In The Box" section on our website. The only light modifier included with the purchase of the GVM PR150R RGB/Bi-Color LED Video Light Kit with Lantern Softbox is the lantern softbox. This should be corrected on our website shortly. The GVM PR150R does work with the GVM app . There is no reason why it would not work with a IPAD.
