Godox XProII Reviews

Activates Flash

I'm shooting with a Nikon Z9 and a remote Nikon SB5000 speedlight connected to the Godox X1R-N TTL Wireless Flash Receiver for Nikon. It works, but it really interrupts my setup. I can't use the associated XPRO II 10 pin cable for my camera without removing my L-bracket. That L-bracket has my QD mount for my camera strap on it. It also is my triopod mount. I need those doing portraits or other flash photography. I also can't adjust the flash intensity remotely with the godox XPRO ii, but I'm not sure that's a thing it can do being made by a non OEM. Overall it's meh. It activates the flash. That's something. Would I recommend this to someone with my equipment set up, NO. Maybe if you buy more for the godox ecosystem it works. I don't think I'll be doing that any time soon.

Received the box, seal broken. No literature or cleaning cloth inside. Just the Trigger. Needed it asap, so I took the gamble and used it. Works as intended, but disappointed that it wasn't new and unopened.

Does this allow using TTL and HSS SIMULTANEOUSLY on Canon R-series camera? A prior answer was not clear on this point.
Asked by: Andrew
This newer transmitter does not allow TTL+HSS on the Canon R8. It has the same limitation as the older model: TTL OR HSS, not both at the same time. It is very disappointing. I've heard that it works in the R5, but I can't confirm that ability.
