COLBOR CL100XM Overview

The ultracompact, lightweight, and portable CL100XM Daylight LED Video Monolight from COLBOR features an expansive 5600K CCT color range with a high CRI rating of 97+ for advanced accuracy in color rendering. Light intensity is variable from 0 to 100%.

The fixture has an output of 35,420 lux at 3.3' with the included reflector and features seven built-in special effects including faulty bulb, pulsing, explosion, welding, strobe, lightning, and SOS. It's ready for worldwide use thanks to its power adapter or you can run it on an optional V-mount battery or 2 NP-F batteries when AC power is unavailable. The light ships with a Bowens adapter that's not only compatible with COLBOR modifiers but also those made by other manufacturers that use this popular mount. A carrying bag is included for storage and transport.

100W Video Light
The video studio light has a PowerCube design, a CRI rating of 97, and is dimmable from 0 to 100%. It can form a powerful light matrix and is ready for worldwide use in different scenarios including microfilm, live streaming, interviews, and more.
Intelligent Working Temperature Control
The CL100XM employs an intelligent cooling system with multiple sensors that measure the operating temperature in real time and regulate the fan speed accordingly to guarantee ideal working conditions. If the Quiet mode (which is meant for ASMR-like scenarios to reduce noise impact) is enabled, the fan noise will drop to less than 20dB, which sounds like human breathing and won't be captured by the camera.
Compatible with Bowens-Mount Modifiers
The CL100XM has a Bowens-mount standard adapter in the package, so it has wide compatibility with standard Bowens-mount light modifiers, allowing you to switch it between hard and soft lighting or other types of lighting for various filming requirements.
Built-In Light Effects
Based on real scenarios, the COLBOR CL100XM features 7 lighting modes including faulty bulb, pulsing, explosion, welding, strobe, lightning, and SOS.
Ultra-Compact Aluminum Construction
The CL100XM is small enough to be stored in your backpack or in the COLBOR carry bag.

I Based My Purchase On Other B&H Reviews And One Hour After Receiving These Lights, I Am Disappointed. First Off, The Lights Show An Annoying Hot Spot In The Middle Of The Light Spread Wash With The Reflector. Not Good. Secondly, These Are Advertised As Being Over 35,000 Lux. This Is Not The Case. They Are No Brighter Than My Nanlite FS60B Which Is About 25,000 Lux And Happens To Be A Fantastic Light With An Even Beam Wash And No Hot Spots. This Is A Shame Because The Price For The Colbor Seems Good. I Have Started A Return.

COLBOR CL100XM - Lots of value in a small package

This is a review of the Colbor CL100XM. I'm fairly new to the film production world, but I've been around a few blocks with technology and hardware. One thing that strikes me is the cost of equipment. But, AFAIK, the camera can't discern between lights used to light a space. And the CL100XM definitely lights the space! I used the CL100XM on a shoot a few days ago, and got it out today to refresh for writing a review. It comes in a very well-padded carrying case which makes for convenient packing and also for storing. It also includes a well-designed Bowens mount, which is super easy to put on and take off, snugly fits the body of the light and opens all kinds of options. This thing is B R I G H T! I turned it on in my office and at 1% the room was well lit; at 100% it was like high-noon! Levels and effects are easily configured with buttons and toggle dials on the back of the camera, or via the Colbor app. It's also super light weight, and comes with a standard baby mount for putting on a stand. In my experience, yes, the CL100XM generates a little heat, but really not that much, especially compared to other lights that generate the same illumination. The construction feels solid. I like the modular design, too, which provides a series of connecting channels on body of the unit that allow multiple devices to be joined together. It's compact, versatile and easy to use. It ships with a rubber lens cover for even more protection inside the padded case. For the price, I'm very satisfied. This is a valuable asset, and I'll be looking for other Colbor products to flesh out my light kit.

The COLBOR CL100XM Daylight LED Video Monolight has no weather protection. It should be treated as any electronic device and protected from any additional moisture.
