Yealink W73P Reviews
A Satisfactory Replacement of a Landline Phone
We're in the midst of the end of plain old telephone service, a/k/a POTS. For those looking to retain the traditional landline experience, there are a few options. One, which struck me as the simplest, is an IP phone. Essentially, the phone is connected directly to the router via an internal ethernet -- ideally with a cable. This requires a little bit of configuration, but it's easy. Upon activation, the IP phone does replicate the traditional experience, but the sound is a little different. It's brighter or more "digital," but the audio quality is good, and is probably something a person gets used to. Also, I haven't experienced any delay, or echo, or buffering such as some people report with other solutions. (Time will tell.) This phone seems like quality hardware, and it seemed to be compatible with many of the services. Also, the web-based internal management is easy to navigate.
