Pack mule for medium format gear!

This bag is a beast! It gobbled up my Fuji GFX 100s and 3 lenses with room to spare(two primes and the 50mm 'pancake', but it could easily handle another non-telephoto). Also stuffed it with a handful of batteries, some cables, a portable SSD, a notebook and other little bits. Could easily get a flash in there, too. Haven't had it out in any bad weather yet. Love how the main flap stays at 90 degrees when you open it. Bear in mind... this thing gets heavy quick when packing it up like I did. I recommend getting the Nanuk air cell padded strap. It does make a difference. Also, the main zippers were a little sticky on the corners, but once I lubed them up and worked them, they seem to pull much smoother.

Great Size

I love Nanuk products. Purchased two 935 hard cases with padded dividers recently as well. I had high expectations for this bag and expected a lot given it’s price and their typical quality but this underwhelmed me. The bad: I find that the accessory pouches are a little small. Not much room in the exterior pockets. From a design standpoint one could have been substituted with a side access pocket and been more useful. The strap buckles are plastic and feel cheap. I can can almost guarantee with use these will break easily. I’ve seen these type of clasps on dollar store carabiners. For $299 these could have been higher quality (especially considering they sell a quality strap for hard cases that could have been used) The top zipper seems hard to zip. This is problematic on the field when you need to access gear quickly. The good: The material seems relatively good quality. The interior is roomy and offers a good size to bridge the gap from a sling to backpack. For me that was the reason I purchased so see some value in the size of this bag and better than other messengers I’ve seen.
