Designed primarily for small and medium-sized businesses, the UniFi U6+ Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 Access Point from Ubiquiti Networks expands your network with fast and reliable wireless connectivity. This compact access point discreetly mounts onto your wall or ceiling, where it blends with the environment while providing up to 1500 square feet of coverage for over 300 simultaneously connected devices.

The UniFi U6+ supports up to 2975 Mb/s over the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, providing smooth video streaming and internet browsing experiences. Your wireless network is protected by WPA, WPA2, and WPA3 encryption. Connect a PoE compatible network switch or power injector to the Gigabit Ethernet uplink port to transfer data and power over a single cable. You can configure, manage, and monitor your network through the UniFi Network platform.

Yes, the Ubiquiti Networks UniFi U6+ Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 Access Point will work with the Netgear GS308EP 8-Port Gigabit PoE+ Compliant Managed Switch. However, you will not be able to manage the access point with this switch.

What is UniFi Network Controller that is recommended with this device? Is it stand-alone installation of a software? Device/etc?

Yes, it is possible to run the Unifi software on a pc with this Ubiquiti Networks UniFi U6+ Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 Access Point on the same network. However, it is not recommended. Use the Ubiquiti Networks UniFi Cloud Key Gen2 Plus, BH #UBUCKG2PLUS for the best results.

Can a few of these be combined into a mesh (multiple APs, same SSID with seamless roaming)?

Miguel: By "mesh" do you mean that the various APs will "talk" to each other via WiFi? So that you need to have only one cabled AP, and the rest can work without being physically connected to the network? Or do you mean in the way that Andrey put it: simply as a number of APs which allow seamless roaming by using the same SSID/password combination, with a low latency RSSI to encourage the device to look for a stronger connection as it roams.

The Ubiquiti Networks UniFi U6+ Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 Access Point is recommended for use with a UniFi Network Controller, but it is possible to use it as a regular access point with other routers at the cost of management features.
