Securely monitor your surroundings with the Tapo C120 4MP Wi-Fi Outdoor Camera from TP-Link. This unit uses a 1/2.9" progressive scan CMOS sensor to capture 2560 x 1440 resolution video at 20 fps. IR LEDs deliver up to 30' of night vision. Additionally, dual spotlights provide illumination for recording full color video at night and in low-light conditions, while deterring unwanted activity. The camera features a 3.17mm fixed lens with that provides a 120° diagonal field of view, along with a built-in speaker and microphone for two-way audio. A memory card slot supports microSD cards up to 512GB (available separately).

Remote management is possible via the Tapo app for iOS and Android. Compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant enables seamless voice commands. The camera is housed in an IP66-rated enclosure for safe outdoor use.

Upsetting connection issues

It's a shame because the image quality is great, even at night. The false color is on point. The animal and human detection work well. But it absolutely will not stay connected to Wi-Fi unless it's 10'from the router. I even bought an extender JUST for this and it didn't help. I have another cheaper camera 15' FURTHER from the router and it never loses connection. Unfortunately the other cameras detection is awful. Really wish this would have worked because of the detection. Such a shame. I see now in all the reviews for this brand there are always "network unstable" issues, but it is not the network. It is the camera.

I bought two TAPO c120 cameras,one works fine the other one just makes clicking sound , it does no do anything

Hi! The Tapo C120 Wi-Fi Camera offers both options. Using a MicroSD Card (not included), you can use the Tapo app to designate your recording preferences—whether activity-based or 24/7.

Can you access the video files from a card reader on a computer or do you have to use the app?

The TP-Link Tapo C120 4MP Wi-Fi Outdoor Camera with Night Vision & Spotlights (BH # TPTAPOC120) records and saves footage to memory cards as H.264 files. The memory cards may be inserted into a USB card reader connected to a computer for viewing.

Technically, the TP-Link Tapo C120 4MP Wi-Fi Outdoor Camera with Night Vision & Spotlights (B&H # TPTAPOC120) will only need an internet connection for the initial set-up. Please keep in mind that you would not be able to manage or view the camera without 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connectivity or remotely view or manage it without the internet—the Tapo app for iOS or Android will need an internet connection.
