Negative Supply 120FBSC Reviews
My Negative Supply 120 full-border cassette disappointment
The Negative Supply 120 Full-Border Scanning Cassette I received is the worst film holder I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen a lot of them in my career—over 50 years now. The craftsmanship and finish of this item are unacceptable, especially since it’s supposed to be a high-precision tool! The film holder’s four small metal feet are inserted crookedly into the holder, making it wobbly; there are mold burrs in several places, as well as holes and protrusions near the film’s entry and exit points. Furthermore, the film barely slid through the guides! I’d like to know how this part managed to pass Negative Supply’s quality control? I just don’t get it! I’ve lost confidence in Negative Supply and returned the item without asking for a replacement! If you buy this item, I hope you have better luck than I did! A big thank you to the staff at B&H for their support!
The look I wanted
I’ve searched for years for a device that allowed me to scan ALL of my 120 film frames, along with the film stock information, frame number, etc., easily. This device lets me do that, and works perfectly with my Basic 120 MK2 film carrier. The interchangeable masks are helpful, too, as they prevent extra light from reducing contrast on my film scans.
