Panasonic DMW-SHGR2 Reviews
Works Great With My Lumix G100D
I do only light and occasional video work with my Panasonic Lumix G100D. Holding the camera was the most challenging part, so I ordered this tripod grip. It does the job nicely. I am sure a gimbal would be better, but at three to four or more times the cost, I could not justify one for the limited times I would need it. This tripod grip does everything I need, plus it is a handy table-top tripod for other uses.
Also works with Lumix S9
Panasonic made version DMW-SHGR1 of this tripod grip for the Lumix G100 camera with a micro-USB connector. Besides providing a 1-hand support for the camera, that grip has 3 buttons for controlling the camera. Panasonic released a slightly updated version of the G100 camera called G100D, mostly changing the connector to USB-C. So, they released this new model DMW-SHGR2 tripod grip with a USB-C cable. I learned the new grip is also compatible with the full-frame S9 camera I bought, so I purchased this from B&H. The S9 with kit lens is a little heavy for this grip, but control buttons work fine.
