I just needed a large drive to move video projects between computers and this works perfectly. This drive will be used for storage, and not editing directly on it.

I have used my new Seagate 1TB Portable USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 External Storage Drive for about 10 days, and have found it to perform quickly and intuitively, and without problems. I did not register for the services that were offered with the device, so I cannot comment on them.

Does this come with a backup program to allow backing up one seagate drive to another?

The Seagate 5TB Portable USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 External Storage Drive does not come with software. If you want to copy the contents of one drive to another, simply connect both drives to your computer and drag and drop the contents.

How do I format this drive for mac computers?

I had the same issue but went to disk utility in my Mac and erased the disk and selected iOS and it formatted it for Mac and works now
