The ball head combines the best features of a classic ball head and a pan head, adding a pan handle for smooth panoramic tracking shots when shooting video. The head incorporates an Arca-type quick release set, and the included plate has a built-in smartphone clamp for added versatility.

Other thoughtful additions are two 1/4"-20 accessory mounts on the leg apex and one more on the ball head, making it easy to add a microphone, a monitor, or more for a customized shooting setup. An included Airtag compartment makes it possible to track your tripod location so you always know where it is.

Canon D7, 17mm-40mm My first serious tripod so I learnt a lot. Nice look and very light. Good ball head for starting out however the level is on the mount base so is not usable when camera fitted. Not happy with the leg system. The leg to center post angle is not the same on all legs on mine so the camera is slightly off center this makes panoramic shots a little worrying unless I hang a weight on the hook as I can feel the system start to lean as the lens sweeps over the narrow side. The leg segment locking system is very sticky and uncertain, several times I think I have locked the legs then, when the camera is on the tripod one or two of them start to slip. Tightening them again is then an issue since you have to grab the foot to twist them. I cannot tell if all segments lock when I hear the latching click when twisting the legs sometimes one or more segments have not locked. Trying to lock the segments individually is difficult because of the small leg diameter and smooth cf material. Retracting the monopod leg needs two hands on the leg otherwise the it unscrews rather than the latch releasing. Some form of lock would be useful to hold the leg onto the tripod frame until needed.

Does the head have or need a level to make sure the camera shot level with the horizon?
Asked by: MARIO
The Freewell FW-T1 Carbon Fiber Real Travel Tripod with Ball Head does not have a built-in bubble level. If you need to ensure your image is level and your camera does not have a built-in electronic level, you may purchase the Vello Two-Axis Hot-Shoe Bubble Level, B&H # VEBLHS2, and place it on your camera's hot shoe to assist you with leveling your camera for straight horizons: https://bhpho.to/4eKNAXq.
