Dell P2425 Reviews
It works
Run this in parallel with a Dell Ultrasharp U2410. The U2410 is a much higher quality build with better colors (PremierColor). This has 99% sRGB color. This is a lightweight build with slim bezels. Great for document and CLI work and is probably worth just around $200. Look elsewhere for image, video, color work.
Stay away - Dead pixels on arrival on 2 of these monitors
Let me start by saying that I have purchased many items from B&H before and I have always enjoyed shopping with them. They always ship quickly and do a great job of double-boxing monitors and delicate items. Their service is really great. Having said that, I purchased 2 of these Dell P2425 monitors with a couple of months in between. I specifically wanted a good brand monitor with the 16:10 aspect, which is a bit hard to find nowadays. To my surprise, this is the first time in more than 20 years of purchasing Dell monitors that I receive monitors with dead pixels upon arrival. To me, this only evidences the degrading quality of Dell products. After contacting Dell they said that "a few dead pixels" in a new monitor is considered "normal". This is by no means normal to me. This is outrageous! Afterwards, I learned too that this model does not have the premium panel guarantee that the older and similar P2421 model had (which by the way is an excellent monitor in my opinion). I advise you to stay away from this item and purchase another model or brand. This monitor looks and feels cheaply made. It cannot be compared with older Dell models. I have plenty of older Dell monitors still running and never had a single dead pixel on any of them, even after 10+ years of use. This is pure garbage. I hope this helps you make up your mind.
