Mutec REF10 SE120 10 MHz Reference Master Clock (Aluminum)
Key Features
  • Enhanced Version of REF 10 Clock
  • Enhances Compatible DACs, Servers, Etc.
  • Low-Noise, Low-Jitter Oscillator
  • 8 Individually Switchable BNC Outputs
The Mutec REF10 SE120 10 MHz Reference Master Clock is a special version of the REF10 that has been further enhanced in terms of signal performance. This version outperforms the original model REF10 in precision, transparency, spatiality, and dynamics. A clearly measurable advantage is the result of a special feature of the REF10 SE120, which is its precision quartz oscillator. This enables the REF10 SE120 to deliver some of the lowest phase noise and jitter values in the industry.

Mutec REF10 SE120 Overview

The Mutec REF10 SE120 10 MHz Reference Master Clock is a special version of the REF10 that has been further enhanced in terms of signal performance. This version outperforms the original model REF10 in precision, transparency, spatiality, and dynamics. A clearly measurable advantage is the result of a special feature of the REF10 SE120, which is its precision quartz oscillator. This enables the REF10 SE120 to deliver some of the lowest phase noise and jitter values in the industry.

This new version has eight galvanically isolated, switchable BNC clock outputs. This makes connecting to other devices much easier, witch flexible setting options available. The clock can simultaneously output 50 and 75 ohms in impedance for maximum compatibility with other audio products, like DACs and interfaces. While this unit is set as a desktop unit, it can easily be rackmounted for studio use with optional mounting brackets (sold separately).

Development for a New Generation
This upgraded version of the REF10 brings even more stability and resolution to an already flexible clock. With upgraded oscillators and materials, phase noise is now less than 120 dBc measured at 1 Hz. This results in improved phase noise and correlation between 10 and 100 Hz, where accuracy is incredibly vital. Even further, jitter values between 1 and 100 Hz are now measured on an average of less than 15 fs. With such low jitter, you will have extremely stable clocking throughout all your connected devices.
Stability Is Key
Engineered around the German-made, oven-controlled quartz oscillator (OXCO), a dedicated transformer is connected to a double linear power supply. This helps the clock to reach low jitter values with all eight selectable output BNC parameters.
Steel Shielding
The REF10 SE120 is shielded with a 1.5mm thick steel enclosure. Any extreme high frequencies therefore do not have any detrimental effect on the noise and jitter levels.
Product Versatility
Thanks to the eight switchable clock outputs at both 50 and 75 ohms, you can use the REF10 SE120 with a large combination of Mutec and third-party products.
