WD SN850X Internal SSD Reviews
Spectacular value for Thunderbolt Storage and as NAS Storage
I have several of these. I used some of these in my video editing workflow in a Thunderbolt 4 enclosure for use with my Mac Studio Max, and see at least a 25% ROI every workday of use compared to Thunderbolt hdd RAID or even Thunderbolt 4 NVMe 3.0 solutions using other vendor's M.2. I also have 2 of them in a UGreen NAS for fast storage and cache (they are never breaking a sweat in that bus, but for about $1100 per 16TB, I will never have any regret).
WD customer service
After 11 months of very light use as a backup drive for my photos the drive failed completely. I called WD SSD division for a RMA. The e-mail I received said I would receive a replacement 6 to 7 days after the warehouse received my defective drive. WD received my disk 5 weeks ago. I have made two calls to check on the status and on both calls I was assured the drive would would be sent out as soon as possible. I have not received it yet. Very discouraging. I have two other drives and the work fine. My only concern is with their warranty service.
