Featuring a specialized design that is ideal for shooting in the vertical orientation, the ER-kE Eyecup is larger than the standard eyecup for the Canon EOS R5 Mark II Mirrorless Camera. This eyecup has an asymmetrical shape that more effectively blocks stray light along with a 360° rotating design, with clicks at 90° intervals, to suit various ways of handling the camera. It is made from silicone rubber, provides comfortable cushioning around the camera's eyepiece, and is suitable for eyeglass wearers.

A great thing!
A very useful addition for the R5II's already outstanding eyepiece that eliminates issues with the Sun or theater lighting glare etc. The very soft silicone rubber "fits your face" and facilitates shooting with both eyes open, lessening face muscle strain for extended concentrated shooting like sports or concerts. This is a very large eyeshade, a 4.5"w x 3:h x 2.5" deep (size of the palm of your hand), resembling what you see on Hollywood movie cameras. It takes over the back of your camera and you will not be able to swing the LCD out once it is attached, and it obscures about 1/3rd of the LCD, but you can just tilt the body forward if you want to look at LCD data etc. It attaches/detaches from the finder's rubber eyeglass protector easily and securely with zero fuss. It rotates on it's mount with click stops for L/R eye. The only downside is the soft rubber is a dust magnet, I may try some anti-static coating so it can go in a pocket and stay clean.
blocks the sun!
Works great. Its much larger than i expected. The rubber construction of the cup tends to grab all kinds of lint and junk. So its hard to keep clean. But works ok.
