This tripod punches way above its weight: - The fluid head supports nearly 40 lbs. - One lever controls both stages of the legs - It's a 75mm bowl - It's quick to setup and tear down I highly recommend this tripod, it can rival tripods that are easily 2-4x as expensive. My *only* criticism is that the bag is the same size as the tripod (which is an easy fix, just get a new bag). Sometimes you have to position the legs slightly to get the tripod into the bag. But this single bag issue isn't enough to take away from a 5/5 rating.

Is this system compatible with manfroto 501 plates? I'm very interested in purchasing but need to know.
Please consider using the Sirui BP-125 plate with the Sirui SQ75 Heavy-Duty Carbon Fiber Rapid-System Tripod with VHS10 Head. The VHS10 plate is similar to Manfrotto but not compatible with Manfrotto plates like the 501PL.
