Godox IA32 Overview

With vast lighting options in a slim design, the iA32 Mini Flash from Godox is ideal for on-the-go photographers needing a simple lighting solution. Its lightweight design and screen make it easy to transport and use, but its smaller size doesn't affect its high-quality power. The iA32 offers a guide number of 49.2' at ISO 100 and 6200K CCT tuning to create a more refined output.

Offering greater lighting abilities than the iM20 and iM22, the iA32 delivers 490 full-power flashes with a quick 2.5-second recycling time. Manually or automatically adjust the flash's output in eight steps from 1/128 to full power for greater lighting precision. Connect the flash to your camera with its hot shoe adapter or a sync cord to connect to a variety of camera models. With optical S1/S2 modes, connect and trigger multiple flashes at once for customized lighting setups. This flash works well for photographers creating environmental portraits or smaller-scale product photography shoots.

8-Step Power and Optical Modes
With optical S1 and S2 modes, the mini flash can connect to and accompany other lights. Using S1 mode, the flash will simultaneously fire with a main light as soon as it's triggered. When your camera is programmed for TTL metering, the S2 mode fires two consecutive flashes to produce a properly exposed image. The first flash meters the scene, while the second one illuminates the subject with the correct amount of light.
Automatic and Manual Modes
The iA32 offers automatic and manual controls that offer greater lighting flexibility for photographers on-the-go. In auto mode, set the ISO and the aperture values alongside the recommended shooting distance on the panel for accurately lit images. Switch to manual mode to adjust the flash power levels without suggested settings.
Simple Connectivity
The iA32 uses two separately available AA batteries, offering up to 490 full-power flashes.

Will this bad boy work with the Q3? And does it have an auto mode?
Asked by: David
Think of the Godox IA32 as an old-school film flash. It will work in Auto (not TTL - Auto as in you set the ISO and f-stop on the flash and the flash will do the rest) or Manual on any camera that allows for a single pin flash or it even has a sync port for cameras with just a cold shoe but have a sync port. There is a pdf manual on Godox's website with an Auto and Manual table that will show you its range, which is surprisingly good. The only downside is the rather cool color temperature of the light.

Is this flash compatible with the Sony a6700 camera?
Asked by: Roger
You would need to purchase an adapter such as the Vello Hot Shoe Adapter with PC Socket for Sony Multi-Interface Shoe, B&H # VEHSASMPCS, to use the Godox iA32 Mini Flash with the Sony Alpha a6700 Mirrorless Digital Camera. Do note that the Godox iA32 Mini Flash is not a TTL flash, so you will not have TTL automatic flash exposure when using this flash with your camera. You may want to set your flash output manually when using the above flash on your camera. https://bhpho.to/3WsW3pN

Asked by: nicholas
The Godox IA32 Mini Flash has an AUTO mode that will allow you to set any aperture you want to use; it will then tell you the average distance you need to be from your subject to get an approximate correct exposure. See page 23 of the owner's manual at the following link: https://bhpho.to/4amFtOS.
