Yes, the lens hood can be used with the Viltrox AF 50mm f/2 Air FE Lens (Sony E) and a filter. The filter needs to have 58mm filter threads on the back and the front. The front cannot be wider than the back. This Chiaro Pro 58mm 98-UVATS UV Filter is a great option, (BH # CHT98UVATS58).
