[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Clear crisp and sharp display. My only complaint is fiddling I have to do to get my USB accessories to work with my USB-C switch -- it feels like the monitor doesn't fully support my usecase.

AdobeRGB color gamut specs are 101% size / 88% coverage (Typ). My question is... What is meant by "size" and (Typ)?
Asked by: Steve
Color gamut can often be referred to by the size of the total gamut of colors the monitor can produce and the coverage, which is how many colors within a given color space the monitor can accurately produce. In the case of the ViewSonic VP2788-5K 27" ColorPro 100W Thunderbolt 4 Monitor, the total volume of colors the monitor can produce is 101% of the size of the Adobe RGB color space; however, that total volume of colors only overlaps 88% of the Adobe RGB color space. While the monitor has broad color support for a wider total number of colors than Adobe RGB, only 88% of the colors in the Adobe RGB are covered by that total number.
You could think of it as if you have two circles on a sheet of paper, one with a 1" diameter and another with a 2" diameter; the 2" diameter circle is larger, but if it's shifted far enough in one direction, then the smaller circle would not be fully encircled by the larger one, but rather there would be a limited area where the two overlap. Now consider that those circles each represent a color space, and the paper they're on top of represents all of the possible colors visible light can produce.
