I was in the market for a super wide lens and decided to take a $200 chance on this lens...Fun to shoot with and has excellent results..Highly recommended!!

There are many times in the past when traveling I wished that I had a very wide angle lens. This lens fulfills that need pretty well. It is relatively light and doesn't take up that much space so it can easily go with me when I travel. I have only taken some test shots thus far, but overall I am impressed with the lens. The fact that I was able to purchase it on sale was an added bonus. The only negative, which is in no way a fault of the lens is that the filter size is different from the other two lenses I carry with me when traveling.

On a full-frame Sony camera, would this be a 9mm or 13.5mm?

Because the Viltrox AF 9mm f/2.8 Air E Lens is made for APS-C size sensors, the camera would need to be set to crop mode in order to prevent vignetting. Since the camera would need to be manually set to crop mode, the lens can be used as either 9mm (with vignetting) or 13.5mm in crop mode and no vignetting.

Hello. I was wondering if this lens would be compatible with older NEX bodies, especially with a Sony NEX VG-20 Camcorder.

The Viltrox AF 9mm f/2.8 Air E Lens (Sony E) (B&H# VIAF928E) may be used on newer E-mount and older E-mount camera bodies alike. Because its image circle covers an APS-C size sensor (and not a full frame one), it is an especially appropriate choice for cameras such as the Sony NEX-VG20 Interchangeable Lens HD Handycam Camcorder (B&H# SONEXVG20) if an ultra wide angle of view is desired.

Does this have lens flaring/reflections (when shooting into lighting) like the 13mm 1.4 lens?

The AF 9mm f/2.8 Air FX Lens (FUJIFILM X), like any lens, can have flaring/reduced contrast when aiming the lens directly into lights. Using the hood and flags can help reduce flare and not aiming the lens directly into light sources.
