DJI Neo 2 Fly More Combo Overview

Safer flight, better tracking, improved visuals, and easier control await you with the DJI Neo 2 Drone Fly More Combo. This second edition of the Neo is an improvement in almost every way. You now have the option of controlling the Neo 2 with simple hand gestures, and it can take off and land right in your palm. When in the air, new omnidirectional obstacle sensing joins the propeller guards to enhance safety. Tracking is improved, and additional shooting modes make the Neo 2 an exceptional selfie/follow-me drone for casual use. Your content is still in pro-style 4K resolution, but now with 60 fps for smoother footage, 100 fps for slow motion, and a 2.7K vertical option for posting clips straight to social media.
ActiveTrack
Follow yourself or another subject with the Neo 2 to capture engaging action shots using ActiveTrack. The Neo 2 can track from eight different directions and can keep up with running or cycling with ease, thanks to its maximum tracking speed of 26.8 mph. Omnidirectional obstacle avoidance helps with tracking by detecting if the surroundings are too dense; if so, it automatically switches to rear-follow tracking to keep filming.
SelfieShot
Quickly capture solo or group selfies with SelfieShot mode. Choose waist-up to feature you and your friends, full-body to get a good mix of subject and scenery, or a long shoot to focus more on your surroundings.
Take Control
Choose from five different control methods to perfectly match your shooting needs. Choose convenience with new gesture controls or precision via an optional controller.

  • Gesture Control: Use one hand to point your palm toward the Neo 2 to guide it up, down, or from side to side. Use two hands for more precise control.
  • Voice Control: Speak into your mobile phone to transmit voice commands to the Neo 2 via Bluetooth.
  • App Control (Phone/Tablet): Download the DJI Fly app and use virtual joysticks on a phone or tablet to control the Neo 2.
  • App Control (Apple Watch): Use the DJI Fly app on your Apple Watch while running or cycling. Enjoy a live view from the drone, voice control, flight status, and haptic alerts for low battery and tracking issues.
  • Remote Control: Pair the Neo 2 with an optional RC-N3 controller and digital transceiver for more precise control and an extended range of up to 6.2 miles.
  • Motion Control: Pair the Neo 2 with an optional DJI Motion 3 for more intuitive control. It also works with optional FPV goggles for increased immersion.
Safety Measures
Considering the Neo 2 is meant for casual use by beginners, it's been designed with multiple safety features.

  • Propeller Guards: Full-coverage propeller guards help to prevent damage and injury from accidental bumps when in flight.
  • Omnidirectional Sensing: New for the Neo 2, this feature uses monocular vision, forward-facing LiDAR, and downward-facing infrared to detect and avoid obstacles when flying and tracking.
  • Return to Home: When using palm takeoff or mobile app control, the Neo 2 will return to its takeoff point. With an optional remote, both Return to Home and FailSafe RTH are available and supported by the omnidirectional obstacle-sensing system.
Fly More Combo
This version of the DJI Neo 2 includes the Fly More Combo bundle of accessories geared towards traditional piloting and extended flight times and transmission range. Compared to the standard release, you get three intelligent flight batteries, a three-slot two-way charging hub to recharge them, an RC-N3 remote controller, and a digital transceiver. The RC-N3 gives you physical sticks for more precise control, working with your smartphone to provide an HD live view of what the Neo 2 sees. The digital transceiver extends the Neo 2's video transmission range from up to 1640' over Wi-Fi, to up to 6.2 miles using DJI's OcuSync 4 technology.

This little drone is very fun, capable and versatile. As always, DJI drones are the best flying cameras you can buy. This is perfect for basic video and photography when you want an easily deployed drone.

The future is now.

Review: The DJI Neo 2 – The Ultimate "Selfie" Companion As a long-time Mavic user, I’ll be the first to say it: if you’re looking for peak cinematic glass or heavy-duty flight specs, the Mavic is still the undisputed king. But the DJI Neo 2 isn't trying to be a Mavic—and that’s exactly why I love it. Size vs. Capability Despite its tiny footprint, this machine is surprisingly capable. While my larger drones stay in the case for tight spaces, I have zero fear flying the Neo 2 indoors. It’s stable, approachable, and handles outdoor conditions much better than you’d expect for something this light. The "Hands-Off" Experience The real game-changer for me is the hand-gesture control. Being able to launch and land directly from my palm without fumbling for a controller makes it feel less like a "drone" and more like a personal flying camera. My Favorite Use Case I’ve started using the Neo 2 primarily to photograph me photographing. It captures the "behind-the-scenes" of my professional work effortlessly. It’s a completely new offering in my kit that fills a gap my Mavics couldn't: it’s fun, fast, and stays out of the way. Bottom Line: It won’t replace your professional rigs, but for effortless selfies and creative angles, I really dig it.
