The NOVA II 1x1 has a native 35° beam angle with a brightness of 108,200 lux at 3.3' and 5600K, 13,300 lux at 9.8', or up to 2466 lux using the included flat diffuser at the same distance. It features smooth stepless dimming for adjusting light output from 0.1 to 100% with four dimming curves: linear, exponential, logarithmic, and S-shaped. This 16 x 15.4" LED panel is actively fan-cooled and offers four DMX-controllable fan modes: smart, high, medium, and silent.
Impressive Color Accuracy
Industry-leading fidelity metrics and high color accuracy ratings ensure the NOVA II 1x1's ability to faithfully reproduce colors. With CRI 95, TLCI 95, TM-30 Rf 95, and Rg 100 ratings, the fixture ensures natural and lifelike rendering that's ideal for color-critical applications. Other noteworthy ratings include: CQS (CIE D5600) 96, SSI (P3200) 90, and SSI (CIE D5600) 86. Very strong panel

This is the brightest panel I’ve seen for its size. Pulls over 1000W, and it shows. Twice as bright as a Vortex8. She’s really heavy, this light is challenging to raise on a stand. The S60 was great because you could remove the PSU and cut the weight in half. This thing is a brick. Yoke removes nicely, the diffusers clicks in securely. Great in the wind, great in the rain. Same Aputure interface. This is like a 1200X in panel form. The Arri X21 and the Vortex8 do very impressive and complexed things with frame rates and mapping, but if you need a whammer on location, or to bomb a cyc wall, this light is currently the best panel (2026).

I’ve been holding on to my Skypanel S60s but they take up a lot of space and they’ve really fallen behind in color quality and output. These guys are a solid replacement with the snap bags. BLAIR color and the output of a Vortex 8 in a 35LB 1x1 form factor can’t be beat. I love that I can throw these on a beefy baby, much less cumbersome than rolling a combo around. A few of these are a must have on every job from here on out. Aputure really hit the mark here.

The Aputure NOVA II 2x1 Tunable Color LED Light Panel and ARRI SkyPanel LED light panels are both LED lights in a similar form factor, but are otherwise quite different from one another.
