First Gimbal - There is a difference between the Lite version and the 3E Version

This is my first experience with a Camera Gimbal. I think it is fairly intuitive to use, although the balancing process takes a little bit of time, it is a learning curve. The camera has to be balance for how I am going to shoot, exactly, meaning I have to have the filter on, the screen open or close, all in place, otherwise any changes, unbalance the setup. In my camera, the card is loaded from the bottom, I have to make sure the sd card and the batteries are on before I start setting it up, otherwise the card slot wont open after balancing the camera. The title of this product had the "LITE" version on it, and even though B&H told me there was no difference between the 3E Lite and the 3E that we see in the reviews, they are different, The arm of the 3E lite only works for horizontal camera placing, the other arm (which can be purchased separetely for $30) is the one that comes with the 3E. Not a big deal, but is good to be aware of that. Regarding the use, I think it works well, I have just a couple of things to consider: 1. adding a zoom lens beyond the 24-70mm , will probably result in limited mobility, as the camera has to be placed back in the plate to compensate for the weight, and that makes it hit the back axis. For a camera with a small lens or small zoom lens, it works very well. I am still learning how to make it work properly and how to set it up to use in the field. A funny thing I didn't think through is that this has to be setup at the moment of use, so the idea of setting it up at home and bringing it to the field to shoot, is not a good one as the camera will be in an awkward position while in the car. It is important to have a flat surface to place the camera in the gimbal and balance it on site, which is not always the case. All in all I think this gimbal gives my canon R8 the needed ability to shoot video with image stabilization. I used it with a 16-35 lens without Image stabilization, and the video is quite nice and smooth. Since this is my first experience with a gimbal I have no comparison points, but I think it is a good tool and the price is great, relative to the competition.

This is a very impressive device, especially for the price point. It was easy to find tutorials online. I had to order a 1-foot USB cable particular for my camera to be able to use the shutter release button. When I ordered it I had already figured out how to balance the camera and operate the gimbal. I was expecting to have difficulty with having a cable attached to the system. However, once it arrived and I connected it I saw how beautifully the cable fit in a completely unobstructed way. I thought, “Wow. This device is well-designed.”

Compatible with a SONY RX 10 Original with a 24 to 200mm range? What's the maximum zoom range this can handle?

The Zhiyun CINEPEER WEEBILL 3E LITE Camera Gimbal can support the Sony RX10 throughout its zoom range, though note the lens extends as it zooms, which will cause the gimbal to need to be rebalanced. It's recommended to balance the gimbal with the camera around the portion of the zoom range you need to use at the moment.
