Sennheiser CX 80U Reviews
Not good quality
One of the earbuds on my Sennheiser PMX 684i finally broke, and since that model has long been discontinued, I bought the Sennheiser CX 80U as a possible replacement. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out. Compared with the PMX 684i, the CX 80U’s bass performance is very disappointing. The PMX had deep, punchy, energetic bass that made music lively and enjoyable. In contrast, the CX 80U sounds thin and lacks the low-end presence I was expecting from a Sennheiser product. For my taste, the sound feels flat and unexciting. Because of the weak bass and overall less engaging sound, I’ve decided to return the CX 80U. It simply doesn’t come close to the sound signature I loved on the PMX 684i.
Poor build quality
Poor quality from Sennheiser on this one. The small earbuds lack the structural rigidity required for any in-ear adjustments. It feels like any attempt at it and the cheap cabling is going to break. Didn't even bother giving them a listen so I can't comment on sound quality. If they fix their structural problem, I'll be happy to try them again.
