Full Touchscreen Control and Tools
The DC-550 PRO II features a 1920 x 1080 touchscreen display that supports live view from your camera, and it provides image tools such as peaking, color temperature, tone, pixel-to-pixel zoom, brightness, contrast, and custom anamorphic de-squeeze ratios. You can monitor the audio via its built-in speaker or 3.5mm headphone port. The waveforms now feature repositioning for easier viewing and three zoom levels.
Power Options
At the rear of the monitor, a built-in L-series battery plate enables you to power the monitor with an L-series battery, or you can power it with a separately available AC adapter.

So, I wanted to like this monitor. But apparently it's shipping with a different version of the mainboard, and if you get the wrong version, functionality may be limited or broken for some features. Viltrox dropped the ball on this one. I bought this because it seemed like a cheap solution for live anamorphic desqueeze with touchscreen pinch-zoom features. Anamorphic desqueeze was labeled "debayer," even after the latest firmware for my board version, and pinch-zoom logic remained broken (also, be very careful upgrading firmware... with multiple board versions, if you use the wrong firmware upgrade, you may brick your unit... even if you're installing firmware supposedly for the right model!).
The custom desqueeze ratios don't seem to work at all, another feature I was excited for.
Maybe if they had shipped me a unit with the new board, I wouldn't have had any of these issues... but I'll never know, because they chose to ship out cost-cutting trash in this first batch to B&H.
