  • 1Description

The 1 RU Behringer Eurorack Pro RX1602 16-Channel Rackmountable Line Mixer provides you with an easy-to-use, versatile, and compact solution for sub-mixing multiple keyboards and sound modules on stage or for monitoring your multitrack recording projects in the studio. Its 16 balanced line inputs are grouped into 8 stereo pairs and can be configured to mix either 8 stereo channels, 16 mono channels, or any combination of both.

Whether connecting instrument-level keyboards or line-level gear, the RX1602 is designed to preserve the integrity of your audio and deliver a clean sound that remains distortion free even with high-level signals. Each stereo pair features individual balance (pan) and level controls, plus an illuminated, double-function mute button with a built-in clip LED to help you set the optimal signal level. You can also use the Monitor Out send to send the monitor bus signal to your live-performance floor monitors, to a headphone amp in the recording studio, or to an outboard effects processor.

The easy-to-read, dual 7-segment LED level meters help you keep an eye on your mix. The Main output signal can be adjusted via individual level controls for the left and right channels. A headphone output jack with dedicated volume control is conveniently located on the front panel.

    Behringer RX1602 reviews

Eurorack Pro RX1602 16-Channel Rackmountable Line Mixer (1 RU) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect mixer Does exactly what it is supposed to do, and does it very well. Love the FBQ circuit, the level controls and the mute lockouts for finding hums. I have many inputs for a single amp, so this meets my needs nicely. I only wish that there were S/PDIF coax AND optical jacks, but I ended up purchasing the Gefen S/PDIF converter boxes to go from the mixer to the amp and from the TV and computer to the mixer. That took care of the ground-loop hum problems I was having. I would DEFINITELY purchase this again! BTW: heat is no problem. It runs real cool.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great 1U mixer I use it to get 8 stereo ins down to 1 to record my hardware synths. Works great. The level adjustment +4 or -10dB is handy if you have different types of gear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job I was looking for a solution for routing multiple synthesizers and samplers into a stereo input on my interface. This was an excellent solution. It is very quiet and transparent. I can mute devices that aren't being used and I can ride inconsistent levels at the mixer instead of at each synthesizer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice unit I have an old Peavey Mark III 24 channel board. Has 2 effects buses but only one effects return. Running 2 effects back into 2 channels minimizes the panning effect. This Behringer is perfect for my specific needs. I picked it after reading the specs of the other similar devices here keeping in mind my intended use. I run the effects out into a channel of the Behringer and from its monitor out to the effects return on the Peavey. I keep my 2 independent effects and have a fuller panning results by using the boards proper effect return. The unit is clean, I detect no additional noise. Obviously, it is not a complicated piece of electronics. I also chose it because it handles the issue of balanced/unbalanced connections. Having an old board like the Peavey results in some issue when working with new modern outboard equipment regarding balanced/unbalanced.Incase some reading here are wondering why the old board, it has a pile of transformers on it, this makes for a very clean and powerful board. You have to spend a fortune to get boards with individual transformers on the buses according to my repair tech. This setup is being used only for live performances.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Product This is a handy product with a very attractive price which functions as specified (in fact, a bit better than specified). Comparing it with the similar Tascam LM8-ST, which is roughly 4 times the price, the Behringer unit lacks a utility mic input, implements its secondary bus as mono rather than stereo, and features independent left/right main output level controls which can cause calibration errors during operation. If none of those three issues are problematic in a given application, the Behringer product is superior to the Tascam product... and considerably cheaper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and Effective I'm using an array of 4 of these mixers in my personal audio system. Three of them are fed by 3 computers and drive a 5.1 surround system and my surround headphones, while the fourth downmixes the audio and feeds a headphone amplifier for when guests visit. They are easy to setup, easy to use, and work well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome 1U Line Mixer! The RX1602 allowed me to combine various synthesizers and modules and use only two inputs on my Focusrite audio interface. Quality built to last, knobs feel solid, looks good and sounds crystal clear :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works for me. I'm using the mixer to combine the output from more than 8 computers into one speaker set. Seems to be working well. Would have loved been able to plug 3.5mm stereo conectors directly into the unit, but had to buy adapters.
