Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST POWER CABLE EVER!!! This is the most amazing cable I've ever used. It freely flows electrons when the switch is in the ON position, and stops them dead in their tracks when it is switched OFF. Isn't that cool? This cable is made of the best materials you can ever put into a cable, real good plastic thing-a-ma-bobs that go into the electrical socket, and the other that goes into the back of whatever takes one of those funny computer/lowell light/strobe a/c connectors that seems to lurk at the back of so many devices that use electrons to make power. The on/off switch seems really heavy duty too, like you can put a lot of electrons through this thing without it burning out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good replacement I bought two of these cables because I recently received a Lowel Omni kit and the old cables were completely shot. I use them with my Omni kit on film sets as well as for photography. I was going to buy simpler cables, but, doing grip and electric work on film sets for so long, I knew I'd need a way to strike and fire the lights besides plugging them in. These cables do the trick. They seem durable and they attach quite well. The only downside is the cost - I wish I could have put the money elsewhere, but good cables are important to prevent potential electrical fires or electric shock.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect replacment for Lowell Rifa cable The switch on the original cable to my Lowell Rifa light shorted out and I thought it would be easy to buy a replacement at the local hardware store. You don't realize how difficult it is to find a long cable with a power switch until you try to buy one. I couldn't find one locally. I tried to make due with an 6-foot computer cord without a switch, which was frustrating. This Lowell cable does the job and has a nice length. A little pricey but worth the convenience. I would have given it 5 stars if the switch were more robust and the price were lower.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good replacement or backup cable Got this as a replacement for my Lowel tota power cable. That power-cable was misplaced, not damaged or worn out. Switch is ergonomic, is far enough from the light, but won't lay on the ground with typical stand height.I love the length, rarely need to use an extension cord. Was tightly coiled out of the box, like an oldschool phone cord or a slinky, which detracts from its length and could create some tug on the light or stand. I think with good cord-wrapping practice, it will straighten out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Improvements I have a few old Lowel cables that still work well but wanted a new one as a backup. I was happy to find that there are a few improvements. The biggest is the on/off switch which is made of stronger material. They've also added a Velcro strap that keeps the cable wrapped up nicely for storing. The rubber-like material that covers the wires is better too. It doesn't keep the twisted shape that used to happen over time from rolling the cable for storing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice and bendy! I purchased two Lowel power cables to use with my Photoflex Starlite QL fixtures. The cable shipped with those lights is uber-stiff (couldn't even get the kinks from packing out of it) and I need cables that can be coiled and packed easily. The insulation jacket on the Lowel cables is nice and flexible. The power switch isn't quite as robust as either Photoflex or Arri, but it should work for my needs just fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SOMETIMES THIS REVIEW STUFF CAN GO TOO FAR I am reviewing a Totalight T1-80 power cord, with inline switch. What can I say, it has two ends, the end connectors fit what they are supposed to (I hope), the wire conducts electricity from one end to the other, the power can be interrupted by the inline switch, when the switch is OFF, the light goes out, when it is ON the light goes on (I hope). So, that about sums up this review, wax on, wax off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from replacement cable good as new. clicker is rectangle instead of oval, so what? also, comes with a 1 cable wrap. not bad. i would recommend having an extra one of these around if you use totas/omnis or dps because you never know when a cable's gonna die on you, and it's nice to not have to pay local prices for unexciting items like a replacement cable.
