    Matthews 339574 reviews

    63" Century C Stand is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sturdy short stand, different locking We needed some shorter stands to add to our arsenal of normal C stands also made by Matthews. These shorter stands seem to be sufficient, but the locking mechanism for the base is different from the normal stands. Rather than a locking ring that pulls up to allow rotation and then locks back into place, these stands have a spring loaded friction style of operation. The legs are rotated into place and held there by a detent. When they arrived we had to lubricate the locking mechanism because it was stiff and unwieldy. In the process some of the chrome plating also peeled away. These will probably work fine but do not seem to be of the manufactured quality of Matthews' other C stands.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just Like Its Big Brother Matthews quality - you know you have it when you spy those orange feet. I would say this is essentially the same stand as the normal Mathhews spring-loaded base C-Stand. The only difference is that the stages are shorter. The base can be a little tight and difficult to operate when you first start using it, but with a little use, it looses up. Of course, you can always manually loosen the bolt on the bottom to make it easier to start if you want. I just like letting nature take its course.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compliments My Taller C-Stands I picked up this shorter C-Stand to complement my taller standard C-Stands. I plan to use this one primarily as a support stand for my laptop platform. Same versatility, quality and handling as the taller models. Perfect when a taller stand will not work.
