Manfrotto Articulated Arm Reviews

Good flexible, versatile.

If anything , too versatile. This can be bent in too many ways. I like the simple lock style, you don't have to twist and twist until your arm falls off. Twist 90 and you're done.

Love this thing

Can this hold a lumix g7 (410g) extended 24 ...

Can this hold a lumix g7 (410g) extended 24 inches? Or should I go for the double arm?
Asked by: Misael
Personally, I would recommend the double arm option such as either the the Manfrotto Double Articulated Arm - 3 Sections Without Camera Bracket, B&H # MA396AB3, or the Impact 3 Section Double Articulated Arm without Bracket, B&H # IMBHE119. The Manfrotto 196AB-3 Articulated Arm - 3 Sections, No Bracket, B&H # MA196AB3, listed above has a 2.2 lb maximum load capacity. While the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G7 Mirrorless Micro Four Thirds Digital Camera weighs 410 b (0.9 lbs), do note you would also have to add a lens, battery, as well as a camera adapter or a ball head and adapter, all which would increase the maximum load capacity of your equipment. The Manfrotto Double Articulated Arm supports 11 lbs and the Impact 3 Section Double Articulated Arm supports 10 lbs, so they would be much stronger and may support the weight of your equipment.

Are the Manfrotto articulated arms made in Italy or elsewhere (like China)? Thanks for any information.
Asked by: Gary
The one I purchased here says made in Italy. If you zoom in on the photo here on B&H in the middle of the front arm to the right of the Manfrotto logo you can see it has the model number on the top line and made in Italy in the bottom left portion of the box. Look carefully you can read it.
