Celestron SkyMaster 12x60 Overview

SkyMasters are large-aperture binoculars from Celestron. They are great for both astronomy or long-range terrestrial observation.

Since high-powered binoculars are difficult to hold steady, a monopod or a tripod and adapter, with an incorporated fluid pan/tilt head, are highly recommended.

Much better than Barska

I ordered some barska binoculars before these they turned out to be broken when I received them total junk cheap lightweight plastic if you're thinking about Barska don't. I ordered the Celestron as a replacement hoping these would be much better so I wouldn't have to go up to a Nikon I do have Nikon and they are high quality but I wanted 12 x 60 and the Celestron fits the bill. I'm very pleased with these.

Optics are good, why send out a poorly collimated product?

Read other reviews and the issue of collimation is a constant.   The price is right but Im seeing double.  If anyone is doing a collimation DIY on youtube they are doing it with Celestron binos.  Ive had these for about a year and finally decided to do something about it and learn how to collimate before I end up with two monoculars.  Bought Nikon 7X50s and they were ready to go out of the box with no problems.  How hard is it to correct a manufacturing flaw when the customers have it pinned down but no one is listening?  These are good binos and I would buy again if I knew that they would be collimated.   I looked through another set of Skymasters a while back at a star party.  Didnt know the earth had two moons.
