It is the same part that comes with the headphones from AKG. Just plug it in. I always keep a spare cord on hand for my multiple headphones. When I replace one, I just order another from B&H.

The original cable eventually flexed too much and one of the channels (Left or right I forget) cut in and out. Unplugged the old, plugged in the new everything is perfect.
