Bosch DB30C5025R Overview

The Bosch DiBos DB30C5025R is a 30-channel commercial grade DVR presented as a comprehensive solution for managing multiple cameras installed in high-end security applications such as financial centers, industrial facilities and transportation hubs. The DVR accepts both analog and IP network cameras and supports recording speeds of up to 12.5 IPS for each analog input and up to 30 IPS for each IP network device.

Both analog and network cameras can be accessed locally or from a remote network location for viewing and for operating the pan, tilt and zoom function of PTZ dome cameras. Additionally, this DVR supports Bosch's exclusive Bilinx technology, allowing various communication signals including PTZ control to be sent over the standard BNC cable to cameras installed at off-site locations. By attaching a microphone and speaker to this unit, an operator can also hear and speak with a person at a camera location, an important feature in many applications.

Accepts 30 Analog Cameras and 32 Network Devices
The unit accepts up to 30 analog cameras and up to 32 IP devices such as network cameras or digital encoders. In addition to Bosch MPEG4 network units, DiBos can receive JPEG images from network cameras from numerous manufacturers. Analog cameras are recorded at speeds up to 12.5 IPS per channel while digital devices are recorded at speeds up to 30 IPS per network unit. Cameras can be viewed on 2 spot monitor outputs or on a PC monitor over the network.
Fast and Convenient Access to Images from Anywhere
Bosch designed this unit so that an operator has quick access to cameras for viewing and control from any location. To this end, they equipped this unit with an Ethernet connection and various remote control ports. These allow an operator to connect to any Internet PC and instantly bring up any or all cameras for viewing and control. Each camera display includes a number of icons offering important information about that camera, including, time and date, location, camera name and names of devices attached to it such as sensors and motion detectors.
Remote PTZ Control with Billinx Support
Simply by logging on to an Internet browser, an operator can control the pan, tilt and zoom functions of an analog PTZ camera equipped with a remote control protocol or any network type PTZ camera. Additionally, this unit supports Bosch's unique Billinx technology, which uses the standard video cable to transmit bi-directional communication signals. This allows service personnel to check status, change settings, control pan, tilt and zoom, and even update firmware from virtually anywhere along the video cable.
Built-In DVD Burner
In addition to the main 250GB storage hard drive, this unit features a built-in DVD burner to store short-term event footage for quick retrieval and transfer. The unit also features a floppy disk drive for logging time, date and alarm events. A number of USB ports are available for further storage expansion. The unit also accepts an optional PCI card.
2-Way Voice Communication
This unit accepts up to 10 analog audio inputs and supports audio recording for every digital input device. The unit is also equipped with microphone and speaker ports, allowing an operator to have a conversation with a person at a camera location.
Quick and Easy Search and Playback Functions
This unit provides powerful search and playback operation with navigation functions offered in a tree structure. An operator can do a search based on various factors, including camera number, recording date and time or alarm and motion detection events.
Programmable Recording with Image Transfer
Recording can be programmed to begin based on a particular date and time, alarm events, or when triggered by an external sensor. This saves valuable time and hard drive resources when trying to quickly locate crucial video footage among days or even weeks of recorded material.
Up to 8x Digital Zoom
For stationary cameras without physical zoom capabilities, this unit offers a 2x, 4x and 8x digital zoom to bring objects of interest into close view. This is easily done by clicking the mouse several times or by rotating the mouse wheel.
Scalable GUI
Multiple DiBos units can be daisy chained, allowing a security manager to view live and recorded images from any camera on a single PC or DiBos system from a remote location.
