Dot Line PC-AA reviews

AA Battery Case is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 330.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Fits nicely in my back pocket so I can quickly change out batteries on the job without making a lot of crinkling plastic noise. The clasps could probably use some work. Like others mentioned, it seems like they might break off a little too easily. Making them sturdier would be a plus as long as it didn't cause locking the case to make a lot of noise. A little too expensive in my opinion, though I didn't see anything else that balanced cost and function the same way for me. And I find that holding eight batteries in one place is much more convenient than carrying around two to four little cases. So with all that considered, I think this was the right choice. I'll most likely buy more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Handy I have had one of these cases for several years and I am constantly using it, accessing spare batteries several times a week and also taking it on overseas trips several times. The latches have held up fine and it works exactly as it did when I first got it. Have just bought a few more speedlights so am purchasing a few more of these case, I just wish they were available in different colours to help with seperating fresh and used batteries.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Convenient, portable power organization These battery cases are a great way to organize, store and carry AA batteries. The can hold up to eight cells, keeping the + and - terminals from accidently contacting one another, and can be conveniently carried in a bag or pocket, when the batteries will needed. The translucent top cover enable you to determine how many cells are in the case. The case is pretty durable, and even has little non-slip "feet" on the bottom; I've had several of them for a number of years already, without any problem. A nice product. One suggestion would be to offer these cases in different colors, to help identify different capacities or charge status of the batteries inside.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected This item looks like just a plain plastic box with a rubber insert. Well, that is pretty much what it is except it is much more substantial than I expected. The insert the battery sits in in is more rubbery than plastic like. It looks like it should last years. The case itself is thicker than it looks in the add as well. The only part of this case that may give trouble is the hinge and the lock tabs. I have no way to tell how long they should last and I expect them to last years, but there is not hinge. They are just flexible plastic. With the quality of the rest of the case, these are probably well made to, but that is something that only time will tell.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's simple and handy. I use this to carry my rechargeable batteries. I love that it's bright yellow (easy to find in dark places). I love that it's easy to open and close. I love that it separates the batteries so the contacts won't touch. I love that it's slim with a rubber interior. My hold up for a fifth star in this rating is how fragile this case could be. It feels like if I dropped it from the right height or onto a jagged enough surface the hard plastic outer case would crack and/or open releasing my precious AA batteries. It's also not waterproof or airtight, FYI. Otherwise not a bad investment. Simple and handy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from disappointing This case hold 8 AA batteries. A case is usually included when I purchase re-chargeable NimH batteries but I bought a large economy package and cases were not included. The case is much heavier than the other cases I have which is not good since the batteries are already pretty heavy. Also the case is held closed by two small plastic tabs that appear to be flimsy and will probably not last very long. I will keep the case because it is better than nothing but I definitely will not buy it or recommend it to friends. I think this is the only item I have ever gotten from B&H that disappointed me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Really needed? I bought this because one of the pros recommended it in an article. Now that I have it, I haven't decided if this is the solution I will use or not. It carries eight batteries, and I always prefer to carry on luggage when traveling. Eight batteries can add weight really fast, given all the other lenses, camera, cables, tripod, clothes, etc. It does keep the batteries neatly confined in an easy to spot package. But do I always need eight? In my case, probably not. Another example of where the pro needs endless supplies but the amateur just gets a pinched nerve from carrying all the extra stuff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple, straightforward, vandalized This product does one simple thing, and it does it well. As long as the plastic hinge holds up, this battery carrier will do very nicely. So, we ask, why was it necessary for someone, somewhere, in the chain of distribution to stick an adhesive label on the top of the cover, the kind of label that cannot be peeled off, the kind that has to be torn and scraped off with a razor blade, leaving residue and irritation?
