i bought it for my husband, who is a d.j. and it is awesome, i think i am going to get a smaller one also, i got the one that holds 300# and it's pretty heavy with 300 cds in there. thanks pknf in texas

Well Built but Heavy

Is a really well made case. It's listed as weighing 19 pounds empty, but my scale weighed it at 22.5 pounds. However, I did manage to get 136 CDs(jewels w/ 4 page book) in it, and fully loaded it came to 49.5 pounds. Taking a few CD's out it would come in well under the US airlines max of 50 pounds/per bag. Which is great if your looking to keep airline fees to a minimum. I had to really look for a ata approved cases that fully loaded would be under 50 pounds and this one fit the need perfectly. Do note if you plan on checking this on the European side, you usually are only allowed 20 kg's per economy ticket. This one cases full is that whole allowance.
