    Lowepro 200 reviews

Flipside 200 Backpack (Black) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 173.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent backpack. I mostly use this for travel, and it turned out to be exactly what I wanted: Compact, Inconspicuous, and fast to work from. A sling might be quicker to access, but I doubt that it would be as comfy to carry. I do wish it had a larger compartment for misc stuff, but oh well. Here's what I can carry in this little bag at once: Canon 5D2 with 24-105mm L f4, 70-200mm L f4, 85mm f1.8, 14mm L 2.8, 550 EX flash, cards, extra battery! Oh wait, and the little Velbon tripod that attaches securely & without sticking out anywhere. It's great to not need a place to lay down your bag. Proved priceless when I covered the Rio Carnaval.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from handy backpack This backpack is very convenient if you carry your camera on places where you would otherwise worry about pickpockets... it opens only on the side towards your back making it very safe. If you use the waist-strap you can flip the bag to your front, taking your camera out while the bag hangs horizontally on your waist making it very handy to quickly take or put away your camera. It's padded on every side and has some extra space for a few extra lenses, batterychargers, cables and even a tripod (on the outside) I did struggle to put away some extra stuff but this bag is made for a camera&equipment not your shoppingbags offcourse

Rated 4 out of 5 by from compact Great backpack. Lightweight and compact. This is my first camera bag when I got my starter DSLR. The selling point on the backpack is its compact size and it can hold a tripod. Everything went well until I got 50mm and 70-200mm. With 3 lens and 1 body, its kind of a tight fit. I had to put one of the lens in the small pouch that is inside the backpack. If you plan to get any long telephoto lens, this backpack isn't for you. When your equipment start growing, you're end up buy another bag. If you don't plan to buy any big lens, then this is a great bag. Otherwise, get the Flipside 300. Gives you alittle more room to work with if you got bigger lens

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nIce bag! a bit small! This is a very good bag (well, of course it's made by Lowe Pro). I thought it would be a little larger though. It fits my canon 70-200 mm f/2.8L IS lens with 20D w/ vertical grip attached, 24-70 mm f/2.8L lens and canon flash. I had to remove the pouch to make space for gear. If I purchase any new gear I will need another bag. This bag is great though. It's very comfortable. I will continue to use it even if I purchase a larger bag. There are always days that you don't need to carry everything with you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nicely designed I purchased this camera pack for a walk around town or bike ride to take photographs without being over-burdened. Note that you have to take off the pack fully to access the zipper/flap to the compartment. What I liked: Holder for small diameter water bottle (but not for the larger backpacking Nalgene-type bottle). Zip compartment inside body to hold batteries, filters and other small accessories. Exterior provision for small-frame tripod. Cons: none. Other: The compartment will handle a medium sized DSLR/Mirrorless and an extra lens, but not much more. And the lenses should be compact zooms or primes. Not suited for professional work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great city backpack I bought this pack for a week long trip to Washington DC. It is narrow and doesn't stick out too, far which was great for being in crowds. Capacity is minimal, but for what I was doing it worked very well. I brought a D300 w/battery pac, a 24-200mm VR lense, a 10mm fisheye lense and a 1.4X teleconverter. I also had a couple of extension tubes and 4 CF cards in there case. The pac is easily configurable, I could have brought a 80-400mm if I left the rest of the stuff in the hotel room. I will say the side compartment is useless, I couldn't even put my glasses in it with out a battle. I would recommend this pack for daytrips with no hesitation. It was on my back 10 hours a day, very comfortable. Just don't think your going to get a lot of equipment in here.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from laborious, but thief-proof and good q I was looking for a new case for my new camera. I saw and decided to buy the LowePro flipside backpack. I really like that the camera is safe - not just from weather but also from getting smashed and damaged by other things in a bag not as well designed. Also since the zipper is on the inside everything is safe from pickpockets. The zipper is tight around the top corners, but if you push the flap in a bit the zipper moves easier. It is also laborious getting things in and out (i.e. I can't get to anything without taking the bag off). The zipper can be a pain, but otherwise I am very happy with bag protects my camera and extra lenses.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great little bag I just got this new bag because I wanted something bigger than the micro-trecker and that can hold a tri/mono pod. Luckily this will hold both a tripod and a monopod. It's a tight fit, but they fit none the less. Some reviews have said that the monopod on the back of the bag feels loose, but I just tightened the strap really well and it feels snug and doesn't seem like it will fall out. I agree with what other people say... if you need to put the bag down and are carrying a tripod you will need to put it on it's side. But I really like the bag, just wish it was a little bigger. The inside holds less than you think, but it's enough for me.
