Key Features
  • With Quick Release
  • Supports 11 lbs (5 kg)
The Gitzo GH2750 Series 2 Off Center Magnesium Ballhead follows the same outer shell design and look of the G1275M, but has completely redesigned and re-engineered internal components and mechanisms. The weight has been reduced by 15-17%, and new Gitzo technologies have been introduced.

Exceptionally smooth rotation, positive locking, and rapid camera mounting are all features common to the Gitzo designed range of ballheads. The graduated base, with independent locking facilities permits perfect panoramic photography. The design of the panoramic base permits these ballheads to be used for table top or near ground level work with or without the use of a tripod. This is an offset ballhead, which makes it possible to point more than 90° down. Includes the standard size Gitzo quick release plate.

Gitzo GH2750QR Reviews

Not a ballhead but a head with a ball hinge ie oddball

If you look at the design you see it's a pan base with vertical rotating element, and a flip-hinge using a small ball as a pivot. That's not a ballhead. People give it low marks for stability but the basic design error is that the ball at the hinge is of very small diameter. Great ballheads have large diameter balls, this allows the lock to have great leverage (the leverage on a sphere is related to it's radius). The Mother of all Great Ballheads, the Arca Swiss Monoball, had an egg shaped ball whose diameter naturally increased as it was tilted over, automatically compensating for the increased forces via an increased radius.) Gitzo rides it's brand name, I'd be cautious here.

small package with big appeal

what kind of L Bracket can you use with this? Is it a specialized one or can you use an Arca Swiss?
Asked by: Deborah
This head has a proprietary Gitzo plate and there are no L brackets that are compatible with this head.
