Will this radio communicate with a CP200 ?

Will this radio communicate with a CP200 ?
Asked by: Anonymous
Not all Motorola radios are necessarily compatible- if the two radios are analog, you need to check the frequency of each to be sure they are the same. Pleas check; the CP200 is an analog radio, the CP200D is digital.

question

Can this radio communicate with consumer radios on GMRS Channel 16?
Asked by: Bruce
No, you would not be able to communicate with consumer radios on GMRS Channel 16 when using this radio. The RDU4100 and other Motorola RDX Series radios operate on special business frequencies that are regulated by the FCC, and do not support the same frequencies that are used for consumer radios.

question

How many miles are these radio's good for ball park will help
Asked by: Anonymous
I would say less than a mile from each other. Multiple channels are valuable to us because when other contractors are in the area using same product we can move channels to stay in touch. Works well for our 20-story concrete structure.

question

do you turn off this radio just to program ?
Asked by: susie c.
The radio must be on and in program mode to program the radio. This will be done with the programming cable and CPS software available for download on the Motorola site. Since this radio features no display, settings will be communicated by beeps and LED indications. Detailed instructions are available in the User manual. http://bit.ly/29TcFDt

question

I HAVE A MOTOROLA MODEL RDX BUSINESS SERIES TWOWAY RADIO /BLACK I DON'T UNDERSTAN.D ON HOW TO PROGRAM MY RADIO. I'D LIKE SOME HELP ON THIS MATTER AS TO HOW TO PROGRAM MY RADIO.?
Asked by: susie c.
Download communication software from Motorola support. Follow the install instructions during the setup. The only difficulty I had was the realization that the base used to charge the radio is the method for connecting the radio to your computer via USB cable provided with the charger. It is an analog interface. You will hear beeps from the radio that signal the changes you made in the radio settings. I could go step by step but I use antiquated XP os. I am sure that the steps are different for each operating system because of security permissions. Hope this helps.

It is required to register the unit, but there is no problem using it right away while the paperwork is pending.
