When every single one of my suppliers was on backorder, B&H Had it in stock and was only charging $ more than my suppliers! Added to that i got free shipping on it so it came out to as cheap as buying from my normal suppliers. This is a solid microphone and works well in a studio PA environment. The fact that it comes with no ends soldered on but already pre-tinned makes it that much nicer! I can get to the business of terminating and installing instead of cutting un-used ends off and re-stripping/tinning. Thanks B&H!

Does push to talk mean the default is for the mic to be off and a user needs to hold the button down when talking? Or does it toggle on and off?

The Bogen DDU250 Desktop Dynamic Gooseneck Microphone has a programmable switch that can be set for either push-to-lock or push-to-talk operation. Push-to-talk is a momentary function that engages the mic only when the button is pressed and held. As soon as the button is released, the mic switches off. Push-to-lock allows the switch to be locked in the on position so the mic is active until the switch is pressed again to turn the mic off.

question

is this simply plug into an outlet ?
Asked by: Anonymous
I purchased a couple of these and they do arrive with a bare wire so you can connect them directly to your sound system. I had them terminated with XLR connector at a local sound shop.

question

Not going into a PA system. Will it work ok with putting a XLR connector on going into a board for talk back?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, works very well. We run it into a Bogen board and it does the trick.
