We used some of these to replace lost or broken OEM Sony clips that came with our D11s. Not sure what the designers were intending. The hinge is in the middle of the clip leaving about half the clip to extend further out past the lapel or tie. Should put the hinge around the back like other Sony clips. And the wire guide way out at the end?! How is that supposed to work?

Do these clips fit a Sony ECM-SC10 lavalier microphone?
Unfortunately they will not. Those are made for the UWP-V1, UWP-V6, UWP-X7, UTX-B2V, UTX-B2X, ECM-V1BMP or ECM-X7BMP Sony lavs.

Does this allow for rotation of the microphone capsule?
No it doesn't it secures it safely within the bracket, (ring of wire you see in the picture.)
