Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Paper!! I love Canson Rag Photographique! It really lets an image shine, even if it is in color. The gamut isn't huge, compared to lustre, but it is fairly substantial. The weight and texture is just enough to not be overwhelming. Weirdly, the humidity at my location has been close to 100% for almost a week, and I did notice the paper felt less sturdy in the hand. To me that is a sign of very well made paper. It responds to the environment as opposed to being covered in coatings and chemicals. I only mention that because I thought it was an interesting characteristic. Cut sheet much less so than roll paper...plus I'm printing twice as large on roll paper. Overall, I wouldn't choose a different matte rag paper for inkjet printing. Beautiful clarity, contrast, blacks, color gamut, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Beautiful Until recent I have been using the 'Baryta' Paper from the same company - Canson - and really liked it. But the Rag Photographique Paper is another level. Prints just look stunning, and the quality of the paper is perfect. I am using the Rag 210gsm for sample prints or books, but the 310gsm for larger, final prints (17x22) and the weight really suits the size. Recommend the Rag paper for more advanced, serious projects as it is quite costly, but absolutely worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Matte Paper Canson Rag PHotographique is a very smooth matte paper with an excellent gamut and dynamic range. Like all matte papers this one lacks all of the vibrance and pop of a more glossy surface like the Canson Platine but it comes very close and it doesn't have any of the glare, bronzing or gloss differential issues. Canson's profiles are also very good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This paper is for your wall hanger Like a tube amplifier that has micro-clarity and depth of sound, or a Zeiss lens that has micro-contrast and depth of color, this paper a certain micro-texture and gamut depth that you experience - even if you can't graph it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from great paper but needs more protective box This is absolutely fabulous paper, but I find the 17x22 size is too vulnerable to damage to order online. Loyal B&H customer, but they need to use corner protection in shipping, or lean on Canson to beef up their box. A lesson could be taken from Epson's Legacy series (which I think is made by Canson) -- they add a protective layer of foam inside a durable box to protect the paper from the corner dings that so easily damage this larger 17x22 size. The smaller sizes and roll forms do not seem as vulnerable. Great paper if you can get it undamaged

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always reliable, consistent results I have been using this paper for years on large Epson inkjet printers to print my fine art and photographs. I trust it to give me the results I want over and over again. I love this mat paper without a texture, excellent color and deep black tones.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great paper, batch inconsistencies I have settled on this paper as a substitute for the magnificent but discontinued Harman Matt Fb Mp. After some frustrating and expensive tuning in I was getting great prints. When I ordered the paper again it printed darker. Had to tune it in again. Great paper despite the inconsistencies between batches.
